Though innocent Captain Luis Monterey is accused of treachery and condemned to livelong slavery. But he can get free and reaches the island of Tortuga, base of the pirates.
He joins them and becomes a pirate himself. But first he has to prove his loyalty by taking the most dangerous part in the pirates' raid...
Pretty nice costume movie with some fine fencing scenes.
